Types of Graphic Design Graphic design is the process of visual communication and problem solving through the use of type, space, image, and color.
This discipline is considered a subset of visual communication and communication design, but sometimes the term “types of graphic design” can be used instead of communication design and visual communication due to the complex technical similarities. They use different methods of creating and combining words, symbols, and images to create a visual representation of ideas and messages.

This art form was first introduced by an American book designer in the 20th century, but later became so important that graphics was taught as an independent art in universities and has now become one of the most popular and widely used professions in the world.
We now clearly see the modern and new role of graphics in all aspects of human life, such as commercial advertising, book layout, or in traffic signs, sports signs, banknote design, etc.
Graphics have also made a great contribution to communication in international forums by designing logos, emblems, and signs designed to provide information to audiences, because with the help of these conventional signs, there is no longer a need to write guides or know the languages of other countries.The field of graphic design has become so widespread that even other branches of art have become dependent on it in some way. For example, the use of graphic design can be seen in interior architecture for designing tiles, wallpaper designs, etc., or in the field of film and animation titles.
Common uses of design and graphics include identity (logos and branding), publications (magazines, newspapers, and books), print advertising, posters, billboards, website graphics and elements, signs, and product packaging.
For example, product packaging may include a logo or other artwork, organized text, and pure design elements such as photographs, shapes, and colors that form the unifying structure of the piece. Composition is one of the most important design and graphic design features, especially when it comes to using pre-existing materials or diverse elements.
